Analytics and visitor measurement

WorldSchooling Hub measures platform use to understand whether families are finding and contacting one another.

Your choice

Use the Analytics settings button on our homepage or app to allow or decline optional analytics. Google Analytics does not load until you explicitly allow it. Earlier consent to first-party visitor counting does not automatically permit Google Analytics. Declining stops optional analytics; essential signed-in platform activity counts remain separate.

First-party visitor measurement

Allowing stores a signed daily browser identifier shared between worldschoolinghub.com and app.worldschoolinghub.com. It is only recognised for its Europe/London reporting day and its cookie expires within 24 hours. Your analytics preferences are stored for 180 days.

Google Analytics 4

For consenting visitors we use Google Analytics to measure visits, traffic sources, app screens, logins, contact clicks and successful chat actions. Google receives network and device information and derives approximate location. Google Analytics cookies can last up to 180 days and are shared between our homepage and app. After sign-in we use an account code instead of your name or email to connect your activity across sessions and devices. Advertising storage, advertising personalisation and Google Signals are disabled for this implementation.

We do not send your email address, phone number, family or recipient identifiers, contact URLs, message text, private search terms or sign-in tokens to Google. Public page locations and app screen names are limited to approved names. Automatic form, outbound-link and search collection is disabled on the relaunch stream. Signed-in platform activity

We separately count daily active accounts, successful logins, clicks to WhatsApp, Messenger and Telegram, new chats, first replies, message totals and opened family profiles in our own administrator dashboard. To count unique active accounts over a week or month and average distinct profiles viewed or families contacted, we retain daily usage with secret-derived account and profile codes for up to 90 days. Repeated visits are linked by account, including across devices, but administrator reports show aggregate figures without member identities. Your own profile and background list/map loads are excluded. A shared household account counts as one account. External contact clicks cannot tell us whether a message was sent in another app.

Retention and access

First-party event records used to prevent double-counting are eligible for removal after 90 days through our retention cleanup. Anonymous daily totals remain. Account deletion removes account-linked platform analytics pseudonyms while keeping anonymous totals. Encrypted recovery copies expire separately. Google Analytics records follow the property’s retention settings; removing a platform account does not automatically erase Google’s existing records.
