Your privacy, visibility and verification

Your family profile is private. It isn't a public search page, and people can't browse the map or family profiles without signing in, confirming an email and completing a family profile. Even then, they must meet your chosen visibility requirements.

You choose your viewers

Go to Profile → Privacy & chat. You can choose:

• Members with confirmed email and a complete profile: families who have completed those steps can view you. They do not need an adult ID or family check.
• Adult ID checked members: viewers also need an adult ID check.
• Family checked members: viewers also need a family check.
• Both adult ID and family checked: viewers need both checks.
• Stay hidden: your family isn't shown to other families. A completed profile can still browse families whose sharing choices include it.

These choices cover your profile details, photos and external contact links. Search filters cannot grant someone access you haven't allowed. Private chat also follows both families' sharing choices and chat settings.

What do the checks mean?

Confirmed email means someone can access that email inbox. Adult ID checked is a separate check of an adult's identity. Family checked means we've seen an adult with their children. Email confirmation alone does not grant either verification badge, and no check guarantees safety.

An adult ID check is optional. When available, it will have a one-off fee covering the cost of the check. It may let you see more profiles if those families require an adult ID check. Joining and browsing do not require buying one.

New checks aren't being offered yet. You can see your current status and any available interest/request option in Profile → Verification. Registering interest does not grant a badge or promise a date.

Choose what you share

Turn WhatsApp, Telegram and Messenger on or off individually in Profile → Edit family profile. An enabled WhatsApp link shares the phone number in that link with permitted viewers. Turning a link off keeps those details saved privately. Your account email is never used as a public contact link.

Use Profile → Privacy & chat to turn built-in private chat on or off. You can use chat without sharing an external contact link. Your chat setting and the other family's settings both matter.

Your location and photos

Choose a neighbourhood, town or broader city in Profile → Location & reminders. A pin marks the shared area centre, never a home. Keep your town up to date and use the confirmation control when you're still there. Changing a reminder interval doesn't confirm a location. Don't rely on a pin as proof that a family is there today.

Photos follow the same visibility choice as your profile. Check what you want to share before saving.

Change your mind or get help

You can change visibility, contact and chat choices and save them whenever you need to. To leave, use Profile → Account → Delete your account. Use a family's Report this profile option if something needs attention, or open Profile → Help & support to contact me.
